No Fire No Glory! For those who would like to get an idea what "3rd wave coffee" means, i recommend a visit at No Fire No Glory in Berlin. Of course, there are more of other coffee bars in Germany that subscribe to this new way of approaching coffee by getting the best out of every bean, considering the whole production chain of coffee starting with the coffee farmer and ending in your coffee cup (e.g. Five Elephant, Coffee Nerd, Quijote // ...and many more to be discovered). My cappuccino's foam was beautiful, creamy, not too much. The espresso tastes balanced, very nice to drink, with an unobtrusive, fine acid. Overall it was not too strong and not too mild. If you rather enjoy an excellent coffee, check out the coffee menu and chose one of the preparation methods of french press, Hario V60 or cold drip. The menu itself tells you more about the different waves of coffee, and the book shelf offers a great variety of global coffee books, very well to dive into while enjoying your coffee & a delicious cake!
